Rules and guidelines for DanceON competitions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the DanceON website and participating in our competitions, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Eligibility
To participate in DanceON competitions, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18
- Register with accurate, current, and complete information
- Not be disqualified from any previous DanceON competitions
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
3. Competition Rules
All participants must adhere to the following competition rules:
- Submission Requirements: All video submissions must be original content created by the participant or their team. Submissions must not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Content Guidelines: Submissions must not contain content that is obscene, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate as determined by DanceON organizers.
- Technical Specifications: Videos must meet the technical requirements specified for each competition, including format, length, and quality standards.
- Deadline Compliance: All submissions must be received by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
By submitting content to DanceON, you grant us the following rights:
- A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, and display the content in connection with the DanceON service and DanceON's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the service in any media formats and through any media channels.
- The right to use your name, likeness, and biographical information in connection with the content and for promotional purposes.
You retain all ownership rights to your content, but you grant DanceON the license described above.
5. Judging and Selection
All competition entries will be judged based on criteria specified for each competition, which may include but are not limited to:
- Technical skill and execution
- Choreography and creativity
- Performance quality and expression
- Artistic interpretation
- Audience engagement (where applicable)
Decisions of the judges are final and binding. DanceON reserves the right to modify the judging process at any time.
6. Prizes and Awards
Prizes will be awarded to winners as specified for each competition. By accepting a prize, winners agree to:
- Use the prize as intended and not for any illegal purposes
- Allow DanceON to use their name and likeness for promotional purposes
- Comply with any additional terms and conditions associated with specific prizes
DanceON reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the specified prize becomes unavailable.
7. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to maintain a high standard of conduct. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of other participants or judges
- Attempts to manipulate voting or judging processes
- Submission of false or misleading information
- Any form of cheating or dishonesty
- Disparaging remarks about DanceON, its organizers, judges, or other participants
Violation of this code of conduct may result in disqualification and potential banning from future competitions.
8. Disclaimers
- DanceON reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any competition at any time.
- DanceON is not responsible for technical failures, including but not limited to network hardware or software failures of any kind.
- DanceON is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, or misdirected entries.
- By participating, you release DanceON from any and all liability related to your participation in the competition.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
DanceON reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
